Rottnest Island off Perth has welcomed its first new accommodation in over 30 years with the Discovery – Rottnest Island eco-resort.
The 2.8 hectare property is nestled behind the dunes of Pinky Beach and offers 83 fully furnished eco-tents, a resort pool and pool bar, along with Pinky’s Beach Club.
The eco tents come in four service levels with each tent featuring an ensuite bathroom, pillow-topped bed and furnished private decks. Many tents also include kitchenettes, with the Deluxe tents boasting opulent beachfront views and walk-in wardrobes.
Discovery – Rottnest Island general manager Andy Cleverley described the new accommodation as “a truly spectacular tourism experience”.
“Our opening has been years in the making and is much anticipated by everyone from Perth locals to international travel trade,” he said.
The property is the result of a joint venture between Baileys Group and Discovery Holiday Parks.
