A new regional event fund has been launched by the NSW Government in an effort to boost the ailing sector that is still struggling with Covid restrictions.
The NSW Government’s $500,000 Regional Business Event Development Fund is offering grants of up to $30,000 to create, attract and support business events for regional NSW, and to motivate business event owners to incorporate regional NSW in their plans. Applications for funding close April 30.
“NSW is open for business and welcoming visitors, and business owners and entrepreneurs are hungry for growth and new opportunities – these programs will help visitor economy stakeholders to achieve just that,” said NSW Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres.
The Regional Business Event Development Fund is part of a $6 million boost to support tourism businesses including a new marketing campaign and tourism product development.
