Kristen Retallick has been appointed to lead the Shepparton Festival following the departure of creative director Jamie Lea and general manager Louise Tremper earlier this year.
Retallick was previously a working as curator and administration manager at The G.R.A.I.N Store, a rural gallery in regional Victoria.
“I look forward to commencing this role and the opportunity to take the Shepparton Festival in a new direction by building on the solid foundations already laid by the committee and outgoing operational team,” Retallick said.
“I am dedicated to developing arts experiences that bring people to new places alongside fresh ways of thinking, seeing and feeling.”
Shepparton Festival chair Kirsten Green said Retallick’s appointment marked a new era for the festival.
“The committee is looking forward to supporting her to deliver enriching creative events and experiences for 2023’s festival and beyond,” she said.
