Jean-Gabriel Favreau has been appointed as president of New Caledonia Tourism, replacing Brieuc Frogier in the role.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way in which we travel and even think about travel, and it’s more important than ever that the tourism industry is responsive and able to adapt swiftly,” said Favreau.
“Globally, we have seen the tourism industry come together in solidarity during these difficult times. Here in New Caledonia, New Caledonia Tourism will support the local industry as best it can, to both promote domestic tourism and prepare for the reopening of international visitation.”
Favreau’s appointment follows the promotion of Julie Laronde to general manager of New Caledonia Tourism in April.
