New $800m six-star hotel for Sydney CBD

Plans have been unveiled for a new $800 million six-star hotel in Sydney’s CBD.

Developer Built and joint venture partner Irongate have submitted plans for the 47-storey tower on Phillip Street overlooking the Botanic Gardens and Sydney Harbour.

The mixed development tower will include 240 hotel rooms and an infinity pool on the rooftop.

“Our plans for a luxury hotel mixed-use development will do this while preserving the important history of 50 Phillip Street that reflect the unique 19th century architecture of the former NSW colony,” Built chief executive Brett Mason said.
