Moxy debuts at Sydney Airport

Moxy Sydney Airport has opened in Mascot offering 301 rooms and marking the brand’s debut in Australia.

The new hotel is 10 minutes from Sydney International Airport, with Moxy’s pink airport shuttle bus ready to greet guests as they arrive.

“We have been fiercely focused on introducing new lifestyle brands to Australia that will appeal to the changing needs of modern travellers,” said Sean Hunt, Marriott International’s local boss.

“The debut of Moxy’s disruptive hotel experience at Sydney Airport does just that, ringing in an exciting new era for Marriott International in the country.”

Designed as a multi-functional work and interactive social space, the lobby is centred around the hotel bar where guests check in with a complimentary Get Moxy signature cocktail.

The hotel features five meeting studios for private events from the ArtHouse, a not-so-typical boardroom with a modern collection of contemporary Australian artwork curated by local art gallery, to Saint Cloche and The Record Room, inspired by Australia’s rock n roll era, with an alfresco option on Moxy Terrace.

“Mascot, with its rich transit and industrial history, has been the birthplace of various transformative moments in Sydney’s history, so it’s the perfect location to launch Moxy’s first hotel in Australia,” said Michelle Scott, general manager at Moxy Sydney Airport.

“We are raising the bar in the airport hotel scene, with an innovative and dynamic hotel in an airport precinct where guests will have everything they want and nothing they don’t. Connecting with travellers through our spirited service, the Moxy Crew bring to life Moxy Sydney Airport as Sydney’s gateway to play.”
