CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park has opened in the heart of Melbourne’s sporting and entertainment precinct.
Building on the experience offered for major events like the Australian Open, the innovative venue at Melbourne & Olympic Parks has the capabilities to host everything from large-scale conferences through to major awards nights and gala celebrations including five-star dining experiences.
“The appeal of CENTREPIECE lies in its versatility and state-of-the-art design,” said Lara Burnes, general manager, premier events & experiences at Melbourne & Olympic Parks.
“Inspired by Melbourne’s melting pot of arts, cultures and cuisines, CENTREPIECE is completely customisable.
“Capable of hosting unique events no matter how grand or intimate, Melbourne’s newest venue of choice will lie at the heart of the local and national events calendar.”
The venue spans over 4,500sqm across three levels, with the 2,000sqm pillarless Grand Hall opening out to an 800sqm pre-function space and expansive outdoor terrace.
The venue also operates 15 breakout spaces including a 250-seat auditorium and purpose-built broadcast studios.
“While the past 18-months have been challenging for the industry internationally, we’ve taken it as an opportunity to create a world-leading events venue that will take us into the future,” said Burnes.
A sustainable, Victorian-first approach lies at the heart of the CENTREPIECE concept with the food menu curated by Delaware North executive chef Asif Mamun highlighting locally sourced seasonal produce, driven by a paddock to plate philosophy.
The team will also collaborate with Victorian wineries, breweries, and distilleries to elevate the catering experience and highlight the produce on offer across the state.
