Megan Peters has been appointed general manager of Lateral Event Management.
Peters takes over the role in June, replacing Jette Baggs Sargood who is taking maternity leave.
“Megan is one of the industry’s shining lights,” said Lateral CEO Simon Baggs. “We are more than thrilled to have Megan on the Lateral team to work across our corporate, public theatre and mass participation events. While all of us in the events industry are on a hiatus at the moment, we very much look forward to getting back to work later in the year with Megan in our vanguard.
“I’d like to recognise the work Jette has done in the past few years, navigating a myriad of events and challenges to create one of the most dynamic and well-oiled event teams in the industry. We look forward to welcoming her back next year, in a part-time business development capacity.”
Peters said she was thrilled to take up the new role.
“I have known Simon over a decade now and have a huge amount of respect for him and for Lateral Events,” she said. “I am looking forward to working with Simon and his team on the events that I have admired from afar for many years.”
