Matt Moran to open his first restaurant in Canberra

Matt Moran is making his first foray into Canberra.

Matt Moran is set to open his first restaurant in Canberra in partnership with The Fresh Collective.

The 116-pax Compa restaurant will focus on grilled meats cooked on the venue’s custom-made Montague grill and pastas. Moran’s signature mash potato will also feature on the menu.

Smaller eaterie &Sando will serve sandwiches and deli-style snacks.

“Canberra has long had some really exciting restaurants and talent, and it’s a region I have been visiting for many years,” said Moran.

“I’ve been looking for opportunities in Canberra, I have worked with many local producers for years, and can’t wait to open these two venues and have even more of a reason to spend time there.”

Compa and &Sando are slated to open this autumn.
