Las Vegas Convention Center offers first look of Elon Musk’s Centre Loop

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has offered a first look inside Elon Musk’s underground transportation system located beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) campus.

The Las Vegas Convention Center Loop will be operational for the return of its first major convention, World of Concrete, in June 2021.

The US$52.5 million loop has been built 40 feet beneath the ground, with all-electric Tesla vehicles transporting convention attendees throughout the more than 200-acre campus.

The free transportation system will allow up to 4,400 attendees per hour to travel across the campus in just under two minutes. By foot, the journey would take approximately 25 minutes.

“We are excited to have partnered with Elon’s company to bring this transportation ‘first’ to our valued convention customers,” said Steve Hill, LVCVA president and CEO.

“The expanded Loop system, when developed, will be a game-changer and a new ‘must experience’ attraction for our visitors.”
