Kings Canyon Resort has unveiled a new look following the completion of the first stage of combined $40 million refurbishments for the resort and and Glen Helen Lodge planned by new owners G’Day Group.

Kings Canyon is undergoing a two-stage upgrade with the property’s 100 Standard Resort rooms newly refurbished and the Deluxe and Lodge rooms expected to be completed in 2023.

The ‘Under a Desert Moon’ dining experience has also been refreshed with a menu that celebrates the Outback.

Discovery Kings Canyon has relaunched its guest experiences in Watarrka National Park including sunset drinks at the Luritja Lookout, the Tjina Ngaku-Pavi ‘Looking at the Track’ walk to take in the views of Kings Canyon, helicopter tours and the Sunrise Rim Walk.

“Kings Canyon, owned by the Luritja people of Central Australia, is such a special part of the world. For a decade, the property was under foreign management, and it has been even longer since significant investment was made in the facilities,” G’day Group CEO Grant Wilckens said.

“Now back in Australian hands, we’re proud to offer a truly immersive outback adventure at Kings Canyon.”
