Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island has reopened following a temporary closure due to the recent bushfires.
“We are now thrilled to share with you that the threat has passed and the destination is now reopen to visitors,” the resort said in a statement.
“The oasis around Kingfisher Bay Resort and the island’s iconic attractions are all safe and well-protected, thanks to the firefighting efforts and rainfall over the past few days. We will be welcoming new arrivals at the resort from December 19th, and all tours, cruises, and activities will resume as normal for our summer season.”
