Meetings & Events Australia has announced the first of their flagship event’s program line-up for Evolve 2020.
Journalist and TV presenter Shelly Horton will be the MC across the three day event. Shelly is the lifestyle presenter and columnist for 9Honey and is a regular guest on Channel 9’s Today and Today Extra. She has worked as a newsreader on Triple J, been a producer for A Current Affair and a crime reporter on ABC Radio.
The Evolve 2020 program will include six plenary sessions, with the first to feature Mitch Wallis, founder of the worldwide social movement and mental wellbeing initiative Heart On My Sleeve.
Mitch will share his passionate vision of how we can take steps to help ourselves and those we meet and work with every day.
Aviator Captain Richard De Crespigny will speak on how he and his crew managed to safely land a damaged Qantas Airbus A380 back to Singapore. He will reveal the inner workings of crisis management and teamwork, sharing the insights and techniques he has built up over decades in aviation, experience that was imperative at a critical time.
Following the positive feedback from Evolve 2019, the concurrent Tracks will return with only minor adjustments. The event industry track champions have been engaged to provide grassroots insights and expertise on session content and speakers.
Tracks include Best Practice Case Studies, Business Management, Event Design & Management, Future Leaders, Sales and Marketing, Tech Talks and the popular Wellbeing and Personal Development.
Robyn Johnson, CEO of Meetings & Events Australia, says Evolve 2020 is on track to deliver an exceptional learning and networking experience.
“New content and speakers from outside the events industry will deliver relevant content to improve work practices, thinking and life values,” she said.
“We are deeply into planning and production with Evolve 2020 with plenaries and sessions being confirmed daily.”
Evolve 2020 will be held on May 3–5 at Crowne Plaza, Hunter Valley.
