VisitCanberra has appointed Jacqueline Lee to the role of business development manager for Singapore, Malaysia and India, based in the Tourism Australia office in Singapore.
Lee has an extensive career in the travel and trade industry, previously working for the Northern Territory and Tasmania and has delivered sales missions for Visit Victoria, Destination New South Wales and VisitCanberra.
Canberra has seen significant year on year growth in leisure visitation from Singapore, Malaysia and India.
Data from the most recent International Visitors Survey showed an 18.8 per cent increase in visitors from Singapore, a 55.3 per cent growth from India and 10.7 per cent from Malaysia.
Both Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways fly to and from Canberra Airport.
