IHG’s ‘Clean Promise’ to boost guest confidence

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced new cleaning protocols and service standards as part of a “Clean Promise” to give guests further confidence as they re-establish travel norms in a post Covid-19 world.

The Clean Promise expands on IHG’s Way of Clean program program with additional Covid-19 protocols and best practices to reflect the advice of the World Health Organisation, Centres for Disease Control & Prevention and local public health authorities in markets around the world.

IHG Way of Clean already includes deep cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants, and guests can now expect to see evolved procedures in every area of the hotel, including reduced contact at check-in and touchless transactions, sanitiser stations in public areas, visible verification of sanitised items in guest rooms, additional deep cleaning of high-touch surfaces, and new standards and service approach to buffets, banquets, room service and catering.
