Crowne Plaza will make its return to Port Moresby after the signing of an agreement between IHG and owners OPH Limited.
Crowne Plaza Residences Port Moresby will feature 54 two- and three-bedroom units, as well as an all-day dining restaurant, bar, a gym, and meeting facilities.
Slated to open in July 2019, the hotel will sit within the larger Nambawan Plaza Development in the CBD adjacent to Deloitte building.
“The Crowne Plaza brand has a long and respected history in Papua New Guinea, so we are very excited to bring it back to Port Moresby, after a brief hiatus,” said Abhijay Sandilya, senior director of development, Australasia, at IHG.
“The quality and location of Crowne Plaza Residences Port Moresby, along with the power of the IHG system, are likely to make it a market leader. In fact, we have already had strong interest in forward bookings by a number of blue chip corporate customers.”
