International Convention Centre Sydney’s (ICC Sydney) Gabriella Alberici has been recognised at the AIPC Future Shapers program for a new concept to attract global talent, foster career development and learning in the business events industry.

Alberici, ICC Sydney’s senior manager, business development – corporate, government & events, together with representatives from convention centres in Paris, Belfast and Kuala Lumpur, delivered their on-stage pitch to solve convention centre industry challenges at the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC) Congress held in Costa Rica this week.

“ICC Sydney’s AIPC Future Shaper graduates have certainly represented the venue to the highest possible standard,” said ICC Sydney CEO Geoff Donaghy.

“Gabriella’s outstanding achievement as the team leader of the winning team FutureForce is a testament to her tenacity, collaboration and world class venue management practices.”

AIPC CEO Sven Bossu steers the Future Shapers program with the support of an international taskforce that includes Samantha Glass, ICC Sydney’s director of corporate affairs, communication and sustainability.

“This year the participants have once again presented practical solutions to solve industry problems – attracting and retaining our brand and therefore talent and improving and clarifying communication for operational teams in centres,” said Glass.
