International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has raised the standard when it comes to the safety of their employees, customers, contractors and guests after attaining certification to the Safety Management System Standard ISO 45001:2018.
ICC Sydney CEO Geoff Donaghy said the safety and wellbeing of every single person who walks through the venue’s doors is its number one priority.
“People are at the very heart of what we do and their safety is of the utmost importance to us,” he said. “With over 1.5 million people on site annually, it is paramount that we commit to providing the safest possible environment for all who visit.
“We believe we’re the first convention centre in the world to receive the certification to this international standard and we are proud of the safety systems our team has implemented and we encourage other venues to join us in meeting these standards.”
ICC Sydney’s latest global certification adds to its credentials in Environmental Management, Quality Management and Food Safety Management.
