International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has launched a paid traineeship program spanning culinary, audio visual, event management, business services, risk management and customer service roles.
“ICC Sydney has earned a sound reputation for its award winning training and development programs,” said ICC Sydney CEO Geoff Donaghy.
“Launching our Professional Growth Traineeship Program, candidates will have the opportunity to learn in-demand skills on the job, whilst studying as they prepare for a career in the hospitality and events industry.”
ICC Sydney director of human resources Luke Fleming said the traineeship program allowed candidates to work while providing time for study.
“ICC Sydney’s traineeship program provides candidates with a unique opportunity to learn and work in a supportive environment,” Fleming said.
“They will also benefit from courses run by the venue’s leadership team spanning personal branding, management, leadership, team building and corporate social responsibility, setting them up for success and the potential for ongoing employment.”
ICC Sydney’s paid traineeships and apprenticeships encompass a raft of roles and certifications including Pastry Chef/Chef; Food and Beverage Attendant; Audio Visual; Digital Media; Events and Customer Service; Risk Officer; and Receptionist.
