Hotel magnate Barron Hilton has died of natural causes in the US at the age of 91.
Barron led the international hotel conglomerate his father founded for 30 years.
“The Hilton family mourns the loss of a remarkable man,” said Steven M Hilton, his son and chairman of the Conrad N Hilton Foundation.
“He lived a life of great adventure and exceptional accomplishment.”
Under Barron’s leadership, the hotel chain was transformed into a global leader, with the chain eventually being acquired for US$26 billion ($38 billion) in 2007 by the Blackstone Group.
