Hackers allegedly selling Ticketmaster data for $750k

Hackers have claimed to have stolen the details of more than half a billion Ticketmaster customers worldwide, including Australians.

The report by CyberDaily alleges hacker group ShinyHunters is selling the personal details of 560 million Ticketmaster customers for $750,000. The data includes including names, addresses, credit card numbers, phone numbers and payment details.

“The National Office of Cyber Security is engaging with Ticketmaster to understand the incident,” a spokesperson for the Australian Department of Home Affairs said.

“Specific enquiries relating to this incident should be directed to Ticketmaster.”

The data leak follows the US Justice Department push to break-up Ticketmaster and parent company Live Nation Entertainment.
