Greenlight for $250m Geelong hotel and conference space


A $250 million tower in Geelong that includes a 168‐room luxury hotel and a 5000sqm conference facility with 650‐seat auditorium has been given approval by Victoria’s planning Minister.

Cunningham Place is 17-storey mixed use development in central Geelong that also includes apartments, bars and restaurants that is set to be completed in time for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The development will be overseen by the Amber Property Group.

“We envisage a world class business hub by day, transforming to a world‐class leisure destination in the evening,” said Amber Property Group co-director Jevan Clay.
