Goulburn Mulwaree Council is calling for expressions of interest for organisation and management of the Australian Blues Music Festival over the next five years.
The popular event celebrated its 23 year in 2019, running from the 7-10 February across nine different venues. Councillors considered a report on the festival in March and allocated a $30,000 budget per annum for the event across the next five years.
Mayor Bob Kirk hoped the EOI process would yield a positive response, following the increase in budget to $30,000 per annum.
“The event continues to go from strength to strength and has settled into a niche that attracts attendees from right over the country,” he said. “Each year in February our CBD is packed with people enjoying the Blues Music Festival and this flows on to local businesses throughout the region including cafes, retail, hotels and more.”
The successful applicant will be required to undertake all aspects of the planning and management of the 2020 to 2024 Australian Blues Music Festivals within the $30,000 budget per annum.
The event is held on the second weekend in February each year and is a flagship on Goulburn’s annual event calendar. Expressions of interest will close at 2pm Tuesday 30 April 2019.
