Food and wine festival Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove will return to Gold Coast in 2020 after a healthy turnout for its two-day debut over the weekend.
More than 5000 people came to Sunsets by Sanctuary Cove over this year prompting Sanctuary Cove events manager Corey Rattray-Wood to announce they would soon start to plan for a follow up next year.
“We just wanted to create a premier food and wine festival, it’s a brand new concept for us,” Rattray-Wood told the Gold Coast Bulletin. “We want to build more signature events.”
The food and wine festival featured cooking demonstrations and music performances while more than 100 brands of wine were available to try and international food was showcased.
“From the atmosphere I saw, I couldn’t have thought of a better place to host the festival,” said local chef Tony Percuoco, who hosted cooking demonstrations at the festival. “It can only grow from here. It was a great family event.”
