- EVT is continuing its expansion into SE Asia with new Rydges hotel in Bangkok to open in 2028.
EVT Hotels & Resorts is continuing its international growth strategy with the expansion of Rydges into Bangkok.
Following the introduction of QT in Singapore, EVT has signed a hotel management agreement for Rydges Bangkok Sukhumvit, a newly constructed 165- room hotel scheduled to open in early 2028.
The hotel will feature signature food and beverage offerings and rooftop pool.
“Rydges Bangkok Sukhumvit will be a great hotel, following QT Singapore, with more to come across Southeast Asia. We are also delighted with the calibre of talent that has joined EVT to help deliver this ambition,” EVT CEO Jane Hastings said.
EVT’s development team is led by newly appointed chief development officer Brett Forer. While on the ground, newly appointed executive vice president Asia Harry Thaliwal leads EVT’s Bangkok office as its regional hub, working with senior vice president of development Asia Stella Blythe to drive growth across Asia.
