Marriott International has debuted the Element by Westin brand in Australia with the opening of a new hotel in Melbourne.
Element Melbourne Richmond is situated in the new Botanicca Corporate Park on the banks of the Yarra River, six kilometres from Melbourne’s city centre. The longer-stay brand has a signature eco-conscious ethos and focus on helping guests maintain a balanced lifestyle while travelling.
The hotel offers 163 guest rooms and five deluxe balcony king rooms, a multifunctional dining space is open from breakfast through to dinner with a menu strong on local produce. The brand’s signature evening Relax reception offers complimentary local beers and wines and small bites four days a week. The Restore grab-and-go pantry is available 24/7.
The hotel also offers four meeting spaces, spanning a total of 256 square metres. Located on level five, rooms can be configured to welcome between 12 to 250 guests, while an outdoor deck space provides sweeping views of Melbourne’s skyline and CBD.
“The launch of Element Melbourne Richmond marks a significant milestone for Marriott International, as the first of its kind in Australia,” said Sean Hunt, area vice president, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Marriott International.
“A recognised industry leader in the longer-stay eco space, Element Hotels promotes a balanced approach to living and travel. The debut comes as travellers are increasingly seeking out accommodation that offers a flexible environment to live, work and connect.”
