Shane McClelland will be joining the Destination NSW team as general manager communications.
“The reputation of Destination NSW for innovation and exceptional performance plus its outstanding track record of success, were all key for me,” McClelland said. “I look forward to contributing to the continued success of Destination NSW and promoting our state.”
Making the announcement, Destination NSW CEO Sandra Chipchase said McClelland brings “impressive” private sector marketing and communications experience to the role.
“Immediately prior to joining Destination NSW, Shane was responsible for marketing, communications, public relations and events at Salmat; an ASX listed marketing services company helping its clients to reach, convert and serve their customers and associated target markets,” she said.
McClelland will take up his role on 20 May.
