Marcus Taylor is the new general manager at Daydream Island Resort.

Daydream Island Resort has appointed Marcus Taylor as general manager, having previously worked in the Whitsundays region for close to 14 years.

He is relocating from regional NSW for the new role and was most recently at Rydges Port Macquarie and Sails Port Macquarie by Rydges.

Taylor said he was thrilled to be returning to the Whitsundays to work with such a talented team of individuals.

“We’ve been lucky enough to welcome a number of new faces who not only bring a wealth of experience but a fresh new approach to our guest experience,” he said.

“Having previously worked in the Whitsundays, I’ve got the benefit of years of local knowledge which I’m using to my advantage to ensure we create a truly memorable experience for each and every one of our guests. I’m extremely passionate about the Island and what it offers and hope to be able to share this passion with all those who visit.”

Taylor said he is committed to taking Daydream Island Resort to the next level and showcasing the beauty of the Whitsundays while delivering an unforgettable experience for guests.

The 240-room property features 18 conference and event spaces, three onsite restaurants and bars and a range of activities including exploring the coral beaches and rainforest treks.
