David Beckham is opening his first London inspired hotel in Macau

Soccer superstar David Beckham is keen to bring his eye for detail to the hotel industry choosing Macau to launch his first hotel.

Partnering with Sands, the London-themed hotel is slated to open in Macao in 2020.

The Londoner will feature concept suites designed by Beckham himself, while the exterior is modelled on Westminster and the Houses of Parliament.

Th website states The Londoner Macau “is a celebration of timeless British design”.

“The experience begins with the exterior facade, modelled on the iconic Palace of Westminster and Houses of Parliament, complete with the 96-metre Elizabeth Tower and spectacular clock face,” it states.

“Crystal Palace is a light-filled, palatial atrium, modelled on Claridge’s of London and the Palace Hotel, exemplifying the greatest in Victorian design and construction in glass and iron.”

The hotel will also boast three spas and four health clubs among its numerous leisure facilities, as well as a 200-store shopping centre full of British brands .

Other touches include having black cabs outside the property and mini-recreations of some of London’s most famous streets inside, such as Bond Street and Savile Row.

Given Beckham’s love of fashion, it should come as no surprise that the hotel will also feature two floors dedicated to bespoke suiting. A British gastro-pub run by Gordon Ramsay will also be on the cards.
