IHG has made its foray into Micronesia following the signing of an agreement with owner Tan Holdings to take on management of Fiesta Resort Guam.
The hotel will rebrand as Crowne Plaza Resort Guam in early 2021, following an extensive, multi-million dollar refurbishment.
The 318-room hotel is located in the centre of Tumon Bay, with direct beach access and a short walk from high-end shopping areas. Following the refurbishment, it will feature a Crowne Plaza Club Lounge, newly renovated F&B facilities, function rooms and a fully renovated ballroom, as well as a gym and swimming pools.
“Guam is already a favourite with travellers from Korea, China and Japan, and we look forward to growing their footprint with our world-class Crowne Plaza brand,” said Abhijay Sandilya, IHG’s VP Development – Australasia, Japan & Pacific.”
