Coffs Harbour to host Australian Festival Industry Conference 2020

Coffs Harbour has been chosen as the host destination for the 2020 Australian Festival Industry Conference (AFIC).

“For the past five years, the City it has won the globally-acclaimed International Festivals and Events Association ‘World Festival and Event City Award’, making it a relevant fit,” said AFIC founder and event director Carlina Ericson.

“Direct flight services from three major capital cities and being conveniently situated half way between Brisbane and Sydney make it an easily accessible location for delegates.”

Coffs Harbour was also one of the first destinations affected by bush fire devastation in November 2019, which was a key factor that contributed to this year’s destination selection.

“We are keen to support regional destinations and see that they get back on track,” said Ericson.

‘Natural disaster response management’ will be a key component of this year’s conference programme.

The Australian Festival Industry Conference will take place on September 22-24 at Pacific Bay Resort.
