- Chris Lucas to open fourth Chin Chin restaurant in Sydney’s Manly
Restaurateur Chris Lucas will expand his hugely successful Chin Chin brand with a new restaurant in Manly.
The expansion marks the fourth iteration of the iconic restaurant that launched in Melbourne followed by Sydney’s Surry Hills and GMHBA Stadium in Geelong.
The Manly restaurant wil sit 100 diners and be led by founding chef Benjamin Cooper and Chin Chin Sydney executive chef Matthew MacLeod.
Lucas said Manly is the perfect home for Chin Chin due to its strong sense of community and thriving food culture.
“By the time we open the doors in Manly, it will be 10 years since Chin Chin first arrived in Sydney in the historic Griffiths Teas building in Surry Hills,” he said.
“Since then, Sydney has embraced Chin Chin in ways we could only have hoped for, and the response to Grill Americano has only reinforced our confidence to continue investing in this city.
“Manly gives us an incredible opportunity to create something that’s uniquely its own.”
Chin Chin Manly is slated to open mid-2027.
