Business Events Cairns & Great Barrier Reef has launched a new educational program to replace the long running Sell TNQ which was forced to cancel for the first time last year due to the pandemic.
The new-look event BE Immersed: Cairns & Great Barrier Reef has evolved from Sell TNQ which has successfully showcased the region’s business events products and capability for 20 years.
Business Events Cairns & Great Barrier Reef general manager Rosie Douglas said BE Immersed: Cairns & Great Barrier Reef has built on the successful components of the Sell TNQ program.
“With meeting planners eager to start work on reactivating the business events industry, it is timely to evolve our key educational program to meet the needs and expectations of our business events clients’ as well as reflecting our ‘leave greater’ destination brand promise,” she said.
“Stepping into a delegate’s shoes will give Australian meeting planners the opportunity to understand why Cairns & Great Barrier Reef is the natural place to meet.
“Robust COVID-safe practices, wide open spaces and small population bases will be part of the new considerations for meeting planners wanting to stage successful events in the post-pandemic world.
“However, they will not want to compromise on quality and Cairns & Great Barrier Reef is one of the few regional areas with the business events infrastructure and industry professionalism to successfully compete with capital cities as a global meeting destination.”
BE Immersed: Cairns & Great Barrier Reef will be held on May 6-9, giving participants the opportunity to experience the region’s World Heritage-listed areas after they have been rejuvenated by the summer rain.
“Meeting in Cairns & Great Barrier Reef is about naturally inspired moments that allow individuals to create great as a team and leave greater as a human being,” Douglas said.
Registrations to attend BE Immersed: Cairns & Great Barrier Reef are now open and interested planners can submit their application to attend here.
