The Brisbane Truck Show is back at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), with first day attendances smashing records by 37% on opening day.

As the biggest automotive exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere, The Truck Show is expected to attract 40,000 attendees and deliver 70,000 room nights to city hotels.

Due to the continuing success of the event, which is organised by the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia, the Show is now a week-long Brisbane festival, extending into the South Bank Parklands and other locations.

The Brisbane Truck Show is the largest exhibition held at BCEC, both in size and scale, occupying the venue’s three levels across more than 35,000sqm of display space.

Kym Guesdon, BCEC’s general manager, said the Brisbane Truck Show was one of the standout events on the Centre’s calendar.

“The atmosphere and excitement surrounding the event is electrifying, with wide appeal and interest across the community,” she said.

“The sheer size and scale and the calibre of the event demonstrate the diversity and capability of the Centre and has enormous benefit for Brisbane in attracting large numbers of interstate and overseas visitors to the city.”
