Susan Harris, managing director and event director of Absolute Events & Marketing in Brisbane, is celebrating her double win at the recent Meeting & Events Australia (MEA) National Awards.
Harris was named Event Manager of the Year – Professional Conference Organiser Award, and the Platinum Event Professional of the Year.
“After more than 16 years owning and managing Absolute Events & Marketing, and more than 23 years being involved in the event industry, I am thrilled and flattered to receive this recognition,” she said.
“I am extremely proud to win these MEA awards as it not only boosts my desire to continue managing an interesting range of events for our clients, which include associations, Federal and State Government and corporate, but it also shows the commitment and passion from my team to deliver successful events for our clients.
“Our mission statement is ‘Conference and Events with Heart…. By People Who Care’. I am proud that we use this to deliver the best possible experience to our clients.”
Harris also recently achieved Certified Event Professional status with the Professional Conference Organiser Association, making her the only PCO in Queensland with accreditation from two key industry associations.
