Audio-visual company AV1 managing director Keith Wootton has stepped down, with long-term team member Nigel Mintern taking on the role.
Wootton said he was delighted to hand AV1 over to Mintern after 19-years leading the company.
“Nigel has a broad knowledge of the business as well as a strong understanding of our technology,” he said.
“He is well respected by clients and staff. Everyone loves working with Nigel.”
As he steps back from the day-to-day operations, Wootton is set to manage his business portfolio, which includes AV1, Sprintr and an upcoming video-first creative studio, launching later this year.
“As I delve into a broader portfolio, including our new creative venture, I am eager to connect with our valued customers, partners, and pioneers in the events industry,” he said.
“This is a time for creative exploration and strategic planning, and I am open to new ideas and opportunities that align with our vision for the future. If you’re interested in working together, please reach out.”
Mintern said he was honoured to lead AV1 into a new era.
“Keith’s legacy is undeniable,” he said. “I am thankful for the opportunity to build upon the strong foundation he has laid, steering the company toward continued growth and success.
“AV1 will continue its commitment to technical excellence and client satisfaction, and I look forward to catching up with our customers to discuss how AV1 can continue to deliver outstanding service and premium experiences for clients and stakeholders.”
