The Australian Psychological Society has been named Association of the Year at the 2021 Association Awards.

The Association External Campaign of the Year Award was awarded to the National Apprentice Employment Network for their effective response to the displacement of apprentices due to Covid.

The Association Turnaround of the Year Award was awarded to the Kitchen and Bathroom Designers Institute of Australia for shifting their focus to turning around their leadership, processes and member benefits and creating a clear and achievable mission.

“The judges have told me it’s been a tough job to shortlist associations let alone choose the eventual recipients, but that’s a testament to the quality of the work that has been done by so many associations,” said John Peacock, CEO of Associations Forum.

“In a field of exceptional candidates, just doing a good job in what the association is supposed to do does not get you onto the shortlist.”

Carole McKenzie, Hellene Platelle, Jillean Ludwell, Jon Bisset, Kersten Gentle, Troy Williams, Jennifer Ross, Max Wilson and Denys Correll were inducted into the 2021 Hall of Fame.
