Australia-Singapore latest travel bubble talks

Australia is eying off a travel bubble with Singapore with hopes being pinned on a digital Covid passport to avoid quarantine.

Tourism Minister Dan Tehan said he was “optimistic that we might be able to get something up and running by the middle of the year” following ongoing talks with Singaporean government officials.

“Singapore are very keen to work with Australia on a proof of vaccination certificate and we agreed our officials should work together on this,” Tehan said in a statement.

“I’m scheduled to travel to Singapore in the coming months and this will be a key topic of discussions as we seek to explore a travel bubble with Singapore.”
