Auckland stadium hotel refurb to boost room count

A million-dollar renovation at Nesuto Stadium Apartment Hotel Auckland is underway that is set to increase its room inventory by almost 50 per cent.

The property upgrade will transform 72 two-bedroom apartments into 144 hotel rooms. In addition to the current mix of hotel rooms ranging from studios, one and two-bedroom apartments, this will bring the total number of keys at Nesuto Stadium Apartment Hotel Auckland to 244.

All 244 rooms will be refurbished as part of the redevelopment. A restaurant and bar will also be added, seating 47 inside and 70 in an alfresco courtyard. Furthermore, Nesuto’s lobby and communal areas will be refurbished and the hotel’s complimentary wi-fi services upgraded.

“We are delighted with the feedback to date we have received on our brand in New Zealand,” says Mark Ronfeldt, CEO of Nesuto Daiwa Living Group. “Feedback tells us our guests embrace the Nesuto concept and this is a reflection particularly on our team that are empowered to represent the brand.

“Nesuto prides itself on its brand promise of ‘stay real’. It’s passionate, welcoming and caring team is always at the forefront of guest service, in order to deliver real and genuine experiences. We are proud to be a business that attaches bigger worth to service values than processes.”

The refurbishment is set to be completed by early next year.
