Air Canada has paired up with Canadian chef Antonio Park to offer passengers on select flights to Asia and South America ‘destination-inspired meals’.
Park is a judge on Chopped, a TV series on Food Network Canada, and a guest judge on reality TV series, Top Chef Canada. He has also been recognised by the World’s 50 Best and ranked 10 out of 20 in a list of best Canadian chefs.
Roll-out of Park’s menu kicked off this month with meals on flights between Montreal and Tokyo-Narita. These meals will be available to passengers travelling in Signature Service (Air Canada’s business class cabin), premium economy and economy cabins.
Starting later this year, flights from Toronto to Tokyo-Haneda, Vancouver to Tokyo-Narita, and flights from Montreal to Sao Paulo will also offer the new menu.
“I’m extremely proud and humbled to be sharing my food with Air Canada’s customers flying at 30,000 feet beginning with the Montreal to Tokyo-Narita flight,” said Park.
“It is the perfect opportunity to use Canadian ingredients and Japanese techniques, marrying the two to enhance the on-board experience.”
Next year, Park’s meals will also be available in Signature, Premium Economy and Economy Class on all flights from Canada to Japan and exclusively in Signature Class on all other flights departing Canada to Asia and South America.
Park’s meals will be available on flights to Hong Kong, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Sao Paulo (from Toronto), Santiago and Buenos Aires, and seasonal flights from Calgary to Tokyo-Narita and Vancouver to Osaka.
