AIME sets aggressive growth targets for 2020

Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has promised to supercharge next year’s event with a 50 per cent increase in hosted buyers and 30 per cent rise in exhibitors.

Seven months out, AIME already has 65 per cent of its show floor booked as well as 50 per cent of the Hosted Buyer program full. Newly confirmed exhibitors include India Tourism, Fairmont Singapore, Minor Hotels and Taronga Zoo.

“The 2019 event showcased to the business events world AIME’s reimagined format and it got people talking,” said Matt Pearce, Talk2 Media & Events CEO.

“This year, we’re really upping the ante with some aggressive growth targets, which ultimately mean more positive commercial outcomes for buyers and exhibitors.”

AIME Hosted Buyer manager Bernadette Panton has been building a program designed uniquely for Asia-Pacific buyers.

“AIME delivers a diverse range of buyers from across the globe, with the vast majority of from Asia Pacific and the remaining travelling from Europe, the Middle East and the Americas,” she said.

“Our most important task at the moment is ensuring that these buyers are properly vetted to certify they have business to place in the Asia Pacific region.”

AIME 2020 will take place on 17–19 February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
