Adelaide to host Australian Space Research Conference

Following the announcement that Adelaide will be the home of Australia’s Space Agency, the Adelaide Convention Bureau has directly targeted business events that fit the genre with a win already on the books.

The 19th Australian Space Research Conference (ASRC) will be hosted by Adelaide this coming September in conjunction with the South Australia Space Forum, convened by the South Australian Space Industry Centre.

This will be the thirteenth ASRC which is jointly sponsored and organised by the National Committee for Space and Radio Science and the National Space Society of Australia, with the support of the Mars Society of Australia.

“This is the one of many business events within the space and defence category that the Bureau will bring to South Australia in the years to come,” said Adelaide Convention Bureau CEO Damien Kitto.

“The legacies of these events, as was the legacy of the IAC, will continue to provide opportunities for innovation, investment and trade to South Australia. With State Government’s commitment and development of the Innovation Hub at Lot Fourteen, we look forward to promoting this exciting genre to the world as we have and will continue to do successfully within the Health Sciences arena off the back of the BioMed City development.”

The conference runs from September 30 to October 2.
