Philanthropy Australia’s 2024 national conference will be held in Adelaide attracting around 700 delegates and speakers from around the world.

The biennial gathering of Australia’s philanthropic organisations will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on August 5-7.

Philanthropy Australia’s 2024 conference will be its first held outside Melbourne or Sydney, with Business Events Adelaide CEO Damien Kitto saying it was further evidence that Adelaide was gaining momentum as a destination for business events.

“This win demonstrates that Adelaide is in demand for business event organisers,” he said. “Our flexible, Team Adelaide approach means we are able to tailor a solution that suits every need and encourages high profile organisations such as Philanthropy Australia to come to Adelaide.

“We are pleased that the Malinauskas Government recognises the value of business events to the state’s economic prosperity, not only in the short term but also in regard to their economic tail. We hope that the local philanthropy community can forge relationships that extend the value of this business event into the future.”
