The third annual Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Conference in Asia-Pacific (AITCAP 2023) will be held on the Gold Coast on April 28, with over 200 tourism industry professionals expected to attend.
The event will feature an intensive one-day in-person conference at SeaWorld Resort Conference Centre on April 28, and a one-day virtual conference on May 11.
The Gold Coast will become the first destination in Australia to host The Accessible & Inclusive Tourism Conference, after two years of being a fully virtual event.
“Hosting this conference will give us great insight into changing trends, and opportunities globally,” said Gold Coast City Mayor Tom Tate.
“I welcome delegates and officials to Australia’s favourite playground and trust you find your time here both stimulating and rewarding.”
PwC’s Michael Dobbie, one of the conference speakers, said the accessible and inclusive tourism market is larger than many realise.
“Disability makes up approximately 20 per cent of the community so we can have a huge impact on the market,” he said.
The in-person event will prelude the Australian Tourism Exchange
