‘A huge drawcard’ as SkyCity Adelaide’s $330m development begins staged opening

SkyCity Adelaide’s new $330 million integrated entertainment precinct will open to the public this Thursday.

The transformed SkyCity Adelaide will feature new 5-star hotel Eos by SkyCity and new conference and events facilities with views of the Riverbank.

Set to open in February, SkyCity’s dedicated Level Two Functions Floor includes the SkyCity Ballroom for up to 650 guests, the Southwest Suite which can hold up to 80 guests, or three Executive Boardrooms for holding private meetings or breakout spaces. Other amenities include four new restaurants and two new bars.

“When we designed the new SkyCity Adelaide, which includes the stunning new expansion as well as a complete refurbishment of the heritage building, front of mind was to not only cater for the tourism market by showcasing South Australian producers and suppliers, but also to provide a world-class precinct where all South Australians feel excited to visit and proud to call their own,” said SkyCity Adelaide general manager David Christian.

SA Premier Steven Marshall said the new SkyCity will be “a huge drawcard for our State”.

“It will significantly bolster South Australia’s entertainment and tourism industry,” he said.

Jodi Brown has been appointed as general manager of Eos by SkyCity.

“We look forward to bringing a new, extraordinary realm of luxury guest experience to Adelaide, where we will deliver a personalised approach, underpinned by indulgent experiences,” she said.
